Skate 3 browser multiplayer: host & join a friend

Find ONLINE, share a session code privately and meet up in the game.

Find the ONLINE menu

The original project’s loading tip says to open the pause menu with Esc on a keyboard or Start on a controller, then select ONLINE. The available host and join options live inside the game.

First get a solo Freeskate session working. If the engine or map has not loaded, resolve that before troubleshooting a multiplayer connection.

Host a session

  1. Enter the game and open Esc / Start → ONLINE.
  2. Choose the host-session option.
  3. Read the session code shown by the game.
  4. Share that code privately with the friend you want to join.
  5. Keep the host’s game tab open while you play.

Use the code currently displayed by the game. If you start a new session, your friend may need the new code. Avoid posting a private session code in a public help thread.

Join your friend

Ask your friend to host first. Open ONLINE in your own game, choose its join option and enter the code your friend supplies. Both players should use the same browser fan project linked here; other Skate 3 browser projects have separate room systems.

Check the code carefully if joining fails. Confirm that the host is still online and that both game windows are connected to the original service. Follow any world or session instructions displayed by the game.

After a disconnect

The project connects multiplayer through its relay service. A network interruption can disconnect a session even while the guide site remains reachable.

  • Check that the host’s tab is still open and active.
  • Return to ONLINE and host or join again after the connection recovers.
  • Get the current session code rather than repeatedly entering an old one.
  • If the service itself fails, use the original project’s contact or community links.

The separate cleanroom project advertises its own room features. Those features, limits and room addresses should not be assumed to apply to this project. Read which browser version you are using if instructions from another site do not match.
